Employee Survey 2022-23 – Cathedral Preschool

Taking time to reflect on the past year – what we’ve done well and what we need to improve – will help us make Cathedral Preschool the best it can be, both for the kids and for the employees. Please take some time and give constructive feedback – think about specifics. Your responses are confidential/anonymous. (Seriously, since we don’t ask for your name or email we really have no idea whose response is whose.)

The more thorough you can be with this, the less need we will have to discuss things at a general end-of-year staff meeting. My goal is to use this survey to dramatically shorten the length of that meeting. For the last 2 years I think it made a difference!

In all the questions with numbered responses, use 1 for “No,” 2 for “Somewhat No,” 3 for “basically neutral,” 4 for “Somewhat Yes,” and 5 for “Yes.”

Review of processes and practices

Think of the different ways we do things at school on a regular basis. Are there any procedures or practices that need to be changed or improved? Examples are: daily cleaning expectations and monitoring, deep cleaning requirements, requesting supplies, storing/using supplies, staff birthday lunches, prepping the rooms for the year, training/orientation, morning arrival, early arrival, morning dismissal, afternoon dismissal, etc.

Review of Traditions

What about traditions we have here at school. Are there events, projects, etc., that you think need to be discontinued? Maybe they were neat at some point, but are now tired/outdated or are too much work?

Review of Events

Think of the different events we host at school throughout the year. Are there any events we need to revise, improve, rethink, etc. Examples include back to school events, Preschool at Night, service projects, Christmas programs, field trips, grandparents programs, classroom parties, special visitors, Mighty Kicks, parent teacher conferences, graduations…

Is there anyone who deserves a pat on the back for a specific situation they handled well, or project they were particularly creative with? Is there a change we made at school that was a great idea and worked out well? Is there something you improved on or succeeded at this year that deserves a round of applause?
